Time Bandits is an excellent, but also very dark film. On the surface it appears to be a fun adventure through time with a bunch of midgits, but it actually has serious things to say about the nature of evil and it's role in our existance. I personally believe it is Terry Gilliam's best film next to Brazil. Many will disagree and I can in ways understand their viewpoint. There is also apparently a Time Bandits II in the works. Perhaps it will involve Kevin's confused life as he's grown into adulthood knowing what he knows about evil and existance. We may never know.
